For small projects with limited tasks, a Gantt chart is clear and easy to use. However, in large projects that involve hundreds of tasks and multiple dependencies, the chart can quickly become overcrowded and difficult to read. Too many overlapping bars and dependency lines make it visually confusing, reducing its usefulness.

2. Time-Consuming to Prepare Manually

Creating a Gantt chart manually on paper or spreadsheets is time-consuming, especially when projects are large or constantly changing. Every adjustment, such as changing a deadline or adding a new task, requires redrawing or restructuring the chart. Although modern software has reduced this problem, manual Gantt charts are still impractical for complex projects.

3. Limited Detail on Resources

While Gantt charts show tasks, timelines, and dependencies clearly, they do not provide detailed information about resources such as manpower, equipment, or costs.
